Costa Blanca South
Costa Blanca (“white coast”) South is the Coastal area in Alicante Province, from Alicante in the north down to the provincial border with Murcia Province, just before Mar Menor in the South. It is a very well established area having grown and matured since the early international migration to the region started gathering momentum in the ‘70s (mostly from Britain.)
Today Alicante is a well developed City with a very modern international airport serving the region. A little further south, you will find Torrevieja, a lovely costal town in the centre of this region.
There are many fabulous beaches, and rocky coves along the Costa Blanca, and you also have a plethora of outstanding Golf Courses (including the Award winning 'Las Colinas' -- voted Spain's Best Golf Course and Leading Villa Resort), and so many other outdoor attractions to consider. Most of these are located in the Orihuela Costa region, just outside of Torrievieja and along the nearby coastal areas.
Whilst there has been significant development in the region, there is a lot of history to absorb, and so many facets to the wider provincial area.
The climate is considered the best in Spain – mild in winter, and warm, but not over humid, in summer. Many people come to Costa Blanca in support of improving their health.
The whole region is well served by excellent connectivity to airports (Alicante and San Javier) and most locations are 60 minutes or less from one of these.

Costa Calida (“warm coast”) is the coastal area of the Murcia Region, -- the next region south of the Alicante Region, in the south east corner of Spain. It has a 170 km coastline and together with its hinterland offers the widest spectrum of regional contrasts: beaches, rugged coast, mountains, valleys, vineyards, history, flora, fauna and so much more!
At Costa Calida’s northern end is the Mar Menor—the largest salt water lagoon in Europe, with its outer strip of land, La Manga, offering a spectacular residential and sports setting. The La Manga Club (Estate and Sports) is known around the world for its special place a few kms inland from the coast.
Costa Calida coastlines runs from Mar Menor southwards all the way to Aguila, passing the historic port city of Carthagena along the way. Carthagena which is steeped in both ancient (from BC times) and modern history is a truly fascinating town to visit and spend time in, and also has a significant naval presence.
There are approximately 23 Golf Courses all within very easy access of the main coastal regions. They have superb high quality settings, and many of them have residential estates.
Outside of the Regional City of Murcia (which is steeped in both history and tradition) is the new Corvera Murcia International Airport. Together with Alicante International Airport, the Murcia Region is well supported with air travel facilities.
Murcia is one of the fastest growing – yet relatively undeveloped—Regions in Spain. It has something special to offer!
